Who we are

Dr Jeevithan Sabanathan,
MBBS (Hons), FRACP, AFRACMA

Dr Jeevithan Sabanathan is a consultant gastroenterologist, hepatologist and interventional endoscopist with a passion for quality endoscopy and patient-centred care.

Dr Sabanathan graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2009, obtained a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2016, and an Associate Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (AFRACMA) in 2021.

Dr Sabanthan is currently the Clinical Lead for Endoscopy and Staff Specialist in Gastroenterology at Logan Hospital and a Senior Lecturer in Medicine at both The University of Queensland and Griffith University.

Dr Sabanathan has extensive experience in gastroscopy, colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy, double balloon small bowel enteroscopy, and endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) of the gastrointestinal tract. He is actively involved in endoscopic training and supervision of junior doctors through the Logan Hospital.

Dr Sabanathan has a significant interest in research and has presented at both national and international conferences.
